The top two in this nonpartisan election advance to the general election. At this time, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/projects\/2024-california-primary-election-los-angeles-live-results\/#county-section\">LA Times website<\/a> is reporting:<\/p>\n<p>George Gasc\u00f3n: 21.4%<\/p>\n<p>Nathan Hochman: 17.7%<\/p>\n<p>Jonathan Hatami: 13.4%<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>So it&#8217;s probably Hochman v. Gasc\u00f3n in the fall. There is a <em>very<\/em> outside chance it could be Hatami v. Gasc\u00f3n if the late-counted ballots come in quite different from the earlier ones. No chance of knocking Gasc\u00f3n out in this round.<\/p>\n<p>For an incumbent to get only 21.4% is a dismal showing for Gasc\u00f3n and a hopeful sign for the restoration of justice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The big question in Los Angeles County is who will be the challenger against George Gasc\u00f3n in November.
