{"id":2179,"date":"2020-10-07T12:05:56","date_gmt":"2020-10-07T19:05:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.crimeandconsequences.blog\/?p=2179"},"modified":"2020-10-07T14:02:41","modified_gmt":"2020-10-07T21:02:41","slug":"ice-targets-sanctuary-cities-to-arrest-criminal-aliens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.crimeandconsequences.blog\/?p=2179","title":{"rendered":"ICE Targets Sanctuary Cities to Arrest Criminal Aliens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of an ongoing effort to catch and deport criminal aliens,\u00a0 Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have recently arrested 128 illegal aliens in California.\u00a0\u00a0 Adam Shaw of Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/ice-128-illegal-immigrants-calif-offenses\">reports<\/a> that the operation, conducted last week, targeted San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego to identify and arrest the illegal aliens, of whom 122 had criminal records for crimes including murder, sexual assault, child molestation, weapons offenses and domestic violence.\u00a0 This latest operation followed similar sweeps in cities across the country in recent weeks which resulted in the arrest of over 2,000 aliens from 20 countries.\u00a0 85% of those arrested had felony convictions or outstanding warrants.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>An example of those arrested is a 40-year-old man from El Salvador convicted of first-degree murder in 2009.\u00a0 The alien was sentenced to 25-years-to-life but under California sentencing reforms he was released in Los Angeles after serving 11 years.\u00a0 Due to Cailifornia&#8217;s sanctuary law, police were prohibited from notifying ICE of the alien murderer&#8217;s release.\u00a0 Fortunately agents were able to locate and arrest him.\u00a0 &#8220;There is no compassion for the Americans whose lives have been ended or destroyed by these (sanctuary) policies, which shield violent criminal aliens at the expense of American lives,&#8221;
