{"id":387,"date":"2020-01-10T13:27:53","date_gmt":"2020-01-10T21:27:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.crimeandconsequences.blog\/?p=387"},"modified":"2020-01-10T15:32:02","modified_gmt":"2020-01-10T23:32:02","slug":"news-scan-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.crimeandconsequences.blog\/?p=387","title":{"rendered":"News Scan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Border Agent&#8217;s Killer Gets Life<\/strong>:\u00a0 One of the drug smugglers who participated in the 2010 murder of a federal Border Patrol agent was sentenced to life in prison by a federal judge Wednesday.\u00a0 The Associated Press <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/us-news\/gunman-sentenced-life-murder-border-agent-case-exposed-fast-furious-n1112751\">reports<\/a> that Heraclio Osorio-Arellanes used a\u00a0 military style assault rifle he obtained through then Attorney General Eric Holder&#8217;s &#8220;Operation Fast and Furious&#8221; to kill agent Brian Terry.\u00a0 Terry and fellow agents were staking out a site popular with drug traffickers in Southern Arizona when they encountered a group of armed Hispanics.\u00a0 Terry was shot and killed by one of the AK47 assault rifles the criminals were carrying.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Fast and Furious&#8221;
