The prize in literature went to Eric Mart\u00ednez, Francis Mollica, and Edward Gibson for their research on why legal documents are hard to understand: “Poor Writing, Not Specialized Concepts, Drives Processing Difficulty in Legal Language<\/a>.” I pretty much knew that, but it’s nice to see it confirmed in published research.<\/p>\n

Also noteworthy is the prize for art history: “A Multidisciplinary Approach to Ritual Enema Scenes on Ancient Maya Pottery<\/a>.” I didn’t actually need to know that.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
