No Criminal Cases Taken Up in SCOTUS Long Conference
The U.S. Supreme Court issued a short orders list this morning with cases it decided to take up at its conference Tuesday. They are all civil cases. Amy Howe summarizes them on her blog.
The official opening of the new term is October 5, the first Monday in October. If the court follows its usual pattern, the long list of orders released that day will include only cases turned down, not any additional ones taken up.
